Animal Research and Habitats

We have been working tirelessly on our animal research and habitats over the past month. We have finally completed our non-fiction books, habitats and voice recordings of our non-fiction books. I am very proud of all the hard work my students have put into each project. They are eager to share what they have learned with their friends and families.I used Amanda Tervoort's non-fiction writing project template from TPT to create the non-fiction books. I also used a website called Voki to create the voice recordings. They are quite funny and we enjoyed listening to each of the recordings.

Writing out the "good copy" of the non-fiction book!

The finished product! Each student chose a different animal.

We worked with a wonderful artist that helped us create a zoo incorporating all of the Manitoba animals researched.

We planned out where each animal should go in the zoo.

The monarch butterfly habitat!

The tundra swan habitat!

The Arctic fox habitat!

We put the zoo together! Looks FANTASTIC!!
